Italian horror master Dario Argento pays homage to The Phantom Of The Opera (which he would remake a decade later) with this film about a sadistic hooded killer who torments an opera diva he adores. Cristina Marsillach stars as Betty, a young understudy who gets a chance to star in a production of Verdi's 'Macbeth' when the lead breaks her leg. Her performance receives universal acclaim but also attracts the hooded killer who periodically kidnaps Betty, tapes razor blades to under her eyes, and forces her to watch him commit murder! Also stars Daria Nicolodi, Coralina Cataldi Tassoni & Urbano Barberini.

This DVD marks the first DVD release of the pre-Cannes English Dub (much improved over the standard theatrical dub) and an Italian audio track with English Subtitles! This is certainly an essential DVD for Dario Argento fans.
