Yet another Fisher/Hammer collaboration, pre-dating their classic horror output.

At the Deanfield Experimental Station work is underway to create the first perpetually-orbiting space station. There is much tension behind the scenes: chief construction engineer Steve Mitchell (Howard Duff) grows close to beautiful mathematician Lisa Frank (Eva Bartok), while Steve's wife Vanessa (Cecile Chevreau) becomes unusually friendly with biologist Philip Crenshaw (Andrew Osborn). This early Hammer classic was directed by the great Terence Fisher and based on the BBC radio production of 1952.
