Amy McCanic (Tiffany Knight) is a struggling photographer, looking to make the next leap in her career. A mysterious art curator, Virgo (Joe Virgo) gives her an opportunity to create a new show for his high profile, controversial gallery run by the renowned art dealer, Astrum. After dealing with one too many overdoses, Amy dumps her junkie boyfriend Trevor (Michael Bien), an artist in his own right when he's sober, and moves into her best friend Rose's (Natalie Van Rensburg) basement.

When her former landlord rips her off for six hundred dollars, however, Amy snaps. Losing all control over her emotions and frustration, she murders him right there in his apartment. Then, she gets that flash of inspiration that all artists hope for - she photographs his dead body, and in the process discovers her new medium. After all… some people deserve to die. Amy's basement darkroom becomes the crucible of her new expression.

As she continues to kill to keep her artistic expression alive, every developed picture is both a testament to the depth of Amy's commitment and evidence of her crimes. Her behavior becomes more and more erratic as she tries to protect her work and keep the dark deeds she's committed from her friends.
