A wealthy young wife returns to her country estate from a mental institution to find that her husband has all but forsaken her; in fact, a mysterious young man has ingratiated himself into the household in her place!

Later, the two men discover an injured novice (who’s only in her teens) in the woods and decide to bring her home too. It’s here that all hell breaks loose as every character’s pent-up passion (be it lust for affection in the wife’s case or greed in the others’) comes to the fore, leading to a violent – almost cathartic – conclusion for all of them, followed by an unexpected twist rather unconvincingly lifted from LES DIABOLIQUES (1954)! Two other characters that have substantial roles are the doctor (who looked after the wife during her internment and who occasionally comes to visit her at the house) and Wanda, the wife’s sensitive maid who actually suspects the men of foul play and pays the price of her loyalty with her life. Stars Lina Romay, Susan Hemingway, Albino Graziani, Mel Rodrigo, Armando Sallent, Aida Gouveia, Fernando Pereira & George Santos.
