THE REPTILE (1966):
Ray Barrett stars as Harry Spalding, a man haunted by the mysterious death of his brother, in this Hammer Studios horror picture. Determined to investigate the circumstances behind his brother's death, Harry and his wife Valerie pick up and move into his late brother's house in Cornwall. There, Harry learns about the reclusive Dr. Franklyn, a former theology professor who specialized in studying arcane religions, and his daughter Anna.

After some more prying into the life of Dr, Franklyn, Harry is attacked by a strange reptilian creature who miraculously leaves him alive and convinced that he has found his brother's killer. One of Hammer's best movies, THE REPTILE is by turns atmospheric and gruesome, and is a thoroughly creepy and entertaining film.

    THE MEN OF SHERWOOD FORREST (1954):
    Hammer’s first venture into color was this occasionally lively low-budget costume adventure. The year is 1150, Robin Hood (Don Taylor) is persuaded by two nobles whom he believes to be loyal to King Richard (Patrick Holt) to recover secret plans attaining to the rescue of the king from captivity in Germany.
    BR>Though disguised as a troubadour, Robin is betrayed and captured. Lady Alys (Eileen Moore) and the merry men help him escape in time to foil an intended ambush on King Richard as he returns from the Crusades.

    THE VENGEANCE OF SHE (1967):
    When young, beautiful Carol (Olinka Berova) begins to hear voices that lure her to an ancient lost city, she obliges them and begins a journey. Along the way, she meets Dr. Philip Smith (Edward Judd) who, taken by her loveliness, decides to become her companion on the trip.

    When the two arrive at the city, they discover that the voices intend Carol to become successor to the throne of Queen Ayesha, love interest of King Killikrates (John Richardson). Philip is promptly thrown into prison, but learns that the ascension will not be as harmless as it seems. Can he free himself in time to save Carol?

    THE ABOMINABLE SNOWMAN (THE ABOMINABLE SNOWMAN OF THE HIMALAYAS) (1957):
    In this intelligent, sensitive sci-fi film from England's legendary Hammer Studios, Peter Cushing is Dr. John Rollason, a botanist on a Himalayan expedition with his wife (Maureen Connell). Mrs. Rollason is unaware that John is actually awaiting the arrival of another expedition led by his gruff colleague, Dr. Tom Friend (Forrest Tucker), which is to explore the mountains in search of the half-man/half beast Yeti.

    Environmental hardships and disagreements between members of the expedition take their toll, but the men do discover that the Yeti does exist, and there is much more to their kind then the men originally thought. Smart and suspenseful, this modest gem should please genre fans. This was Cushing's follow-up to Hammer's hugely successful THE CURSE OF FRANKENSTEIN (1957):

The first screen appearance of a transspiritual transsexual from Transylvania, this Hammer production is likely to intrigue both horror buffs and Gender Studies majors. Stars Peter Cushing.
