A departure from his Coffin Joe character, Marins, in this film, plays a strange messianic figure who emerges out of the ocean on day, and does his part to spread kindness and love wherever he goes. Going by the name of Finis Homminis, we witness Marins traveling across his native Brazil performing acts of healing and other Christ-like miracles. The more work he does across the land, the more disciples he acquires. Men and women from all walks of life find themselves following him, and believing in him.
