The American Civil War is over, and Michael Random (Giuliano Gemma) is on his way home, wherever that may wind up being. On his way, he unwillingly acquires a young traveling companion named Willy Preston (Miguel Bose) who's heading back to his family's farm in Georgia.

There is good bounty money in hunting down "The Blues", especially the ones with prices on their heads. When the bounty killer Rupp Whittaker (Raimund Harmstorf) and his henchmen arrive on the scene looking for blood money, it's up to Michael, alias CALIFORNIA, to even the score.
