The Countess Maria (Marina Frajese / Marina Lotar) recently passed away in a mysterious fashion. At the wake her daughter Miria (Jacqueline Dupré) comes in and faints of shock at the site of her mother's body. Later that night the Count's (Aldo Sambrell) invalid brother Ignazio spies on Sol (Mariangela Giordano), a nun who cares for Ignazio, who is performing some un-ecclesiastical acts on herself. The count walks in on this and an argument ensues between the Count and Sol. After the Countess' body is moved to the catacombs below the castle a servant performs a black magic ritual that unleashes her spirit into Miria who is then used to take revenge upon the person who caused her death. Others in the castle also begin to be terrorized by the possessed daughter...
